Albion Nord

Working across residential, development, and hospitality interiors, and with a growing collection of furniture and objects made in-house, Albion Nord has become one of London’s leading spatial design practices.

An Albion Nord space asks to be admired, and also to be used, enjoyed, and lived in. From a large townhouse to an occasional table, extraordinary care is given to every corner, because exceptional craft does not go out of style.

The most beautiful spaces are the ones with a soul.

After the first furniture collection, and with a growing catalog of curated and found objects in the online store, Albion Nord wanted a greater emphasis on the commerce side of the practice.

The existing portfolio, built on WordPress, also held the shop, powered by WooCommerce. With oversized, made-to-order, and specialized pieces in the inventory, the team was finding it harder to manage and process orders within the limits of that store. After a conversation with Michèle Victoria (MuseVision), retail was separated from the design portfolio and moved to an entirely new Shopify store.

Strategically, that left room, if it were ever required, to rebrand the store apart from the design studio. Practically, Shopify 2.0 gave the team a flexible, powerful set of tools for the next phase of growth.

Designing for growth with Shopify 2.0

When cost and time are decisive, we often work with a client to choose an existing Shopify 2.0 theme that already holds the features the brief requires.

Working inside Albion Nord’s established palette, we chose a fitting theme and translated their design language into a fully formed e-commerce journey. Taking cues from an elegant classicism, warm tones, and a modern, tactile approach, the site feels restful, assured, and welcoming: a place to browse, to linger, and to take in tradition, craft, and quality.

Warm, textural product imagery was edited with care, to give the pages depth and a sense of space, reflecting the collections and the practice’s respect for craftsmanship.
